Persistence of Memory


 
Effective pathways for stewarding cultural memory are essential for ensuring the vitality and continuity of fragile human experience.  The persistent import and impact of that experience lie in future recollection, retrospective appreciation, and prospective extension.  Thus, from the perspective of posterity, pace Descartes, memoratus ergo sum, "I was remembered therefore I am."

Today, the pervasive form of cultural production and consumption is digital in nature.
